Ethel Nyoni from Zambia is studying Ayurveda at Jaipur’s National Institute of Ayurveda to become the first registered practitioner from her country. Many foreigners, including Dr. Avvinish Narine from Trinidad and Tobago and Dr. Fatemeh Moazzami Peiro from Iran, are pursuing Ayurveda degrees at the Jaipur Institute to become Ayurveda ambassadors in their native countries. The vice-chancellor of the institute aims to establish Ayurveda as a branch of medicine abroad. Komivi ADJA from Togo, a mathematics student, also received an AYUSH scholarship to study Ayurveda.
