The Election Commission has termed as unfortunate the allegations of ‘bias’ levelled against it by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, following the transfer of four senior police officers in the state, and told her it would not be “correct and dignified to respond to such averments to prove/burnish its credentials”.
