The court, which will hear CBI's contempt plea against West Bengal government on Tuesday, made its observations after solicitor general Tushar Mehta referred to the "seige" of the agency's office in Kolkata. Mehta was responding to the court's remarks that the CBI petition did not cite material on destruction of evidence.
