The anger and grief among the family, friends and colleagues of Squadron Leader Samir 'Batman' Abrol was channelised in a poem penned by the deceased officer's younger brother, Sushant, and posted on Instagram by Samir's wife, Garima - a physiotherapist and zumba instructor - and Sushant. It read, "Never had he breathed so heavy, as for the last time/While the bureaucracy enjoyed its corrupt cheese and wine/We give our warriors outdated machines to fight/They still deliver it with all their prowess and might."
