Jadavpur University professor Kanak Sarkar teaches international relations and earlier posted comments on Facebook that could be deemed controversial. He reportedly wrote a piece, arguing for virgin brides in his series, titled, “Value Oriented Social Counselling for Educated Youth”. The screenshots of the post, “Virgin Bride-Why Not?”, went viral even after it was deleted.
