BSP chief Mayawati on Saturday slammed the Congress as she joined arch rival Akhilesh Yadav to announce "historic alliance" with Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Explaining why the Congress was not included in the alliance, Mayawati equated the party to the BJP and said their "ideology and the working style" is similar.
